Recommend for a temporary stay

Cozy room, friendly staff, and a delicious breakfast that fueled our adventures while the free wi-fi helped us plan our daily excursions.

Everything was first-rate.

Had an awesome time with friends! We loved exploring the Lava Centre and the nearby golf course. The view from the hotel was stunning, and the breakfast buffet was the best we had during our trip. The staff was really friendly and made our stay enjoyable.

Our room had some bright outdoor lights that kept us up at night. It made it hard to sleep and see the stars.

Hotel Laekur's charming decor and cozy fireplace created a warm home-like atmosphere. The lounges were comfortably furnished, making it easy for seniors to relax and enjoy stunning views of the surrounding countryside, especially of Mt. Hekla.

More accessible seating in the dining area would help.

I had a fantastic time enjoying the hot tub and sauna after a long day of exploring. The views from the rooms are just breathtaking, and the breakfast spread was something to look forward to every morning. Only downside was that the bathroom could've used some updating, but overall, I would definitely recommend it! 😊

Showering can be an issue. low water pressure and not enough hot water for larger groups can lead to discomfort. The restaurant pricing felt steep compared to portion sizes, which is something to consider if you're planning to eat in. Accessing nearby towns requires a bit of a trek, as this place is a good distance from additional dining or attraction options.

We loved the charming hot tub with stunning views and cozy cabins. Perfect for a family getaway, we made lovely memories! Plus, spotting Icelandic ponies nearby was a good bonus. One of our favorite moments was getting to witness the northern lights after the hosts knocked on our door to let us know!
